Service Description

Private lessons Tut is a language developed globally by indigenous peoples who experience forced migration due to enslavement and colonialism. While they spoke many different dialects, Tut was created as a bridge language of communication when reading was illegal. It became a way not only to educate each other but a secret way to communicate in a language unfamiliar to most indigenous enslaved prisoners of war. This service offers specialized Tutnese language instruction exclusively to descendants of enslaved Black Americans, aiming to reconnect individuals with their cultural heritage and linguistic roots through tailored learning experiences.
